Radio Frequency Contraindications

Before booking your RF appointment, it’s better to check if you do not have any of these conditions:
– Pregnant women
– Breastfeeding women
– Pacemakers
– Metal implants in the treatment area (including metal IUDs)
– Cancer patients
– Receiving chemotherapy or immune therapy
– Immunodeficiency
– HIV/AIDS
– Lupus
– Taking steroid medications
– Uncontrolled high blood pressure and diabetes
– Internal organ damage, diseases, or problems
– Haemorrhagic trauma, bleeding, or diseases
– Open or infected wounds in the treatment area
– Patients with heat-stimulated diseases (e.g., herpes simplex)
– Patients with skin disorders in the treatment area (psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis)
– Numb or insensitive to heat

The following conditions require a waiting period:
– Antibiotics (until course completed)
– Recent surgery and scars (6 months)
– Botox on treatment area (3 months)
– Depilatory creams (2 weeks)
– IPL or laser on treatment area (2 weeks)
– Dermal fillers on treatment area (2 weeks)

The following conditions need your physician’s approval:
– Epilepsy
– Transplant Anti-Rejection Drugs
– Hypertension (high blood pressure treated with medication)
– Cancer (after 12 months)
